Can you clean a small courtyard rather than a full garden?
Describe the courtyard dimensions, paving and route in. A compact space may still have awkward access, drainage or fixed objects that affect the work. The quotation should identify the reachable area and any restrictions rather than relying on size alone.
Does a patio need to be replaced if it is dark?
Darkness alone does not establish failure. Dirt and growth may be removable, while deep staining or worn material may remain. Movement, broken slabs and a poor base are separate concerns. Photograph the whole installation so cleaning is considered against the actual condition.
Should I choose colour enhancement at the same time?
Discuss the option rather than assuming it is necessary. A compatible enhancer may emphasise existing tones after proper preparation, but cannot turn the paving into a different stone or conceal every defect. Previous coatings and the desired appearance need consideration before application.
Can I keep some pots in place?
Tell us which are fixed or cannot safely be moved. Covered areas may be excluded or cleaned only where accessible, and the scope should acknowledge that. Do not attempt to lift heavy items simply to make the patio ready for an initial quote.
Will a clean stop the patio being slippery?
Removing organic build-up can address one contributor, but rain, frost, surface finish and drainage continue to affect footing. No slip-proof result is promised. Remain cautious when the area is wet and follow restrictions given for any treatment or subsequent joint work.
What do you need to give an accurate quotation?
Provide approximate area, pictures of the surface and joints, and a view of the working route. Mention coatings, loose slabs and the worst stains. If those details cannot establish condition sufficiently, we will explain why a closer assessment is needed before finalising the scope.
